AI-Powered Content in SharePoint: Smarter Pages with FAQ and Agent Webparts

The way we create and interact with content in SharePoint is evolving. Thanks to Microsoft 365 Copilot, SharePoint now offers intelligent tools that make it easier to generate, organize, and explore information—directly on your site pages. From transforming static documents into smart FAQ sections to launching AI-driven agents that respond to natural language queries, these new web parts are designed to help content creators deliver more value with less manual effort.

AI-Enhanced Web Parts for SharePoint

FAQ Web Part (Powered by Copilot)

FAQ Webpart1

Creating useful FAQs used to require manual sorting through documents and repetitive formatting. The new FAQ web part, powered by Microsoft 365 Copilot, changes that by turning your existing content into structured, shareable Q&As.

How It Works

Authors can add the FAQ web part to any SharePoint page and upload grounding materials (Word, PowerPoint, PDFs, Loop, transcripts, etc.). Copilot generates question-and-answer pairs based on that content.

You can choose a context (like Event, Policy, Product, or Other) and optionally provide a descriptive prompt to guide the tone or focus. Copilot then generates FAQs aligned to best practices and organizational language.

Use Case Examples

ContextExamples
EventRecaps, speaker info, schedules, logistical Q&As for conferences or training
ProductLaunch details, user guides, feature breakdowns, troubleshooting
PolicyHR procedures, IT self-service guidance, or compliance support

Human-in-the-Loop Refinement

You’re not locked into AI output—edit, regenerate, reorder, or manually tweak content at every stage.

Feedback Built-In

End users can rate responses or leave comments, providing signals that improve future outputs over time.

The Agent link web part offers another layer of intelligent support. Rather than displaying static answers, this web part provides a launch point for conversational AI agents trained on your site’s content. When users click the button or link, they’re brought into a Copilot-powered chat experience where they can ask questions in natural language.
